Maybe they've added some clever auto aspect feature by now, i've not 
really looked, last time i did i couldn't get the output to automatically 
be the right aspect. This does seem very odd though, seeing as this 
information is clearly used to play the dvd's in the first place. Again 
it's a case of finding out how to get any information back out of mencoder 
about cropping sizes if i still do need to scale it... am i meant to just 
play the first 2 seconds to get info and then go round again?
