no problems with avi, mov nor mpeg on KDE 3.1, RH7.3, -vo arts and
mplayer 0.9rc4. BTW, are you compiling mplayer with the same version
of gcc the artsd was compiled? Don't know if this may be a problem
with mplayer+arts but certainly it is with legacy KDE aplications and
KDE base.
