I have sv_SE.UTF-8 as locale telling all aps to use swedish messages.

Mplayer is showing all messages in swedish (but encoded in iso8859-1) but one message - it's the warning in gui telling the user that he may need to restart playback if he shange settings. The message showing is:

"Text jol. Ha ezt megerted, akkor neked nagyon jo a magyar tudaso,te."

I don't know what that means - and I don't know what language it is, but one thing is sure it's not swedish.

An other thing (that you probebly already know) is that if you start gmplayer in kde using a .desktop file - kde vill not recognise the mplayer windows as the app lunched by the .desktop file so the mplayer icon will stai by the mouse pointer until timeout.
