I tried -sid but still could not. The file I have is not a OGM or Matrovska file. It looks completely like a normal AVI file. Here's the output
I think the issue has been up on the mailing list before... If I remember correctly; subtitles in avi files is so extremely ugly that the devs has no intention to add support for it. Someone had a script to extract the subtitles from the avi file, but I don't remember who or what it looked like. Search the archives.
