This is what I had to do to use divx5: I loaded libdivxencore.so in a
text editor, found "c:\trace_b.txt" string and overwrote it with
something like /tmp/stupidivx. After that divx5 worked fine, before it
was segfaulting.

YES! After I've patched mine (5.0.1alpha) divx5 started to work!

Hi,
thanx i sugest strongly
- Do not change the length of the filename
- Replace all file's c:\ with /tmp/

But one point is important this is maybe an security bug because the program do not care about
having more than one person using divx concurently. I used it vor SDLcam and the divx5 now work
to, so it is an problem of the lib and should be fixed from their developer.
