I've just tried that, using -t MPEG2, and variously -k, -f and no
other options. In all three cases, the resulting stream is unsynced
after running through avidemux.
I've just tried the stream created without -k or -f, using the
other transcode command I posted (transcode -i Stream.mpeg -o ff.m2v
-N 0x2000 -m ff.ac3 -c blah1-blah2 -y raw,raw), and it gets some of
the way through and segfaults -- exactly as before.
I can repeat using -t DVD if you think that will make any
difference.
Note that it's not a case of the sync drifting continuously and
slowly, but rather that it shifts up and down arbitrarily in chunks,
but only after the original stream has been processed in some way. The
original stream itself plays OK (albeit with occasional dropouts/
corruptions from broadcast static).
Thanks,
Hugo.
