Yes, please stick with shell. Perl has too much syntactical sugarWell, mine's going to be in Perl because I think that it's far more difficult to make something robust in Bourne shell. I'm going to use it to learn object-oriented Perl (even though I consider that to be an oxymoron).
to be used for anything longer than one line of less than 32
characters. As long as you code in shell at least SOMEBODY else
will be able to understand your script.
