I've uninstalled and deleted the complete new CVS version from today, copied 
the MPlayer 0.50 version updated with today's CVS from
my server where it is working fine and installed it.

At first the same problem: x11 worked, xv had wrong colors. But after a new 
reboot everything was fine ...
